Yellow Gold vs White Gold vs Rose Gold Chains

Most of our gold chains come in three colors. They are all real gold. The color comes from the other metals mixed in.

Yellow gold

Gold mixed with metals like silver and copper to keep its warm yellow color. The classic gold chain look.

  • Warm and bold
  • Easy care
  • Looks great on warm and olive skin tones

White gold

Gold mixed with white metals, and usually coated with rhodium for a bright, silver-white shine.

  • Cool and bright, a good match for diamonds and moissanite
  • Over time the rhodium coating can wear and show a slight warm tone
  • A jeweler can re-coat it (re-plate) to make it bright again

Rose gold

Gold mixed with more copper, which gives it a soft pink color.

  • Warm, soft and a little different
  • Strong, because copper is a hard metal
  • Looks great on many skin tones

Can you mix colors?

Yes. Mixing yellow and white, or yellow and rose, is popular. Two-tone chains mix colors in one piece.
